"Christian Growth"

Receive God's Words

"Your zeal to serve Me will be like fire. You will reap an abundance of spiritual harvest, through the richness of God's Anointing, that will make your former barrrenness disappear.

Your exprerience of bitter waters will be turned into sweet rivers of joy -- peace -- power with flourishing harvest through God's mighty outpouring.

Your wasted spiritual years will be restored.

They will be restored quickly.
God will crowd into the remainder of your days so much harvest that it will compensate for the years of insufficiency, lack and want you have and are now experiencing.

You shall overcome every lamented loss."

Today's Quote:

Too many people try to secure their foundations during the storm instead of before and they see the walls of their life come tumbling down.

Today's Passage:

1 Corinthians 3:11

Ask any builder and he willl tell you that you can get away with a poor foundation before it takes a toll on the house. The fanciest homes can succumb to severe settling if their footing have not been secured deep into the earth and anchored in good, solid clay. It only takes a few years to see the signs of a shoddy foundation work. Floors begin settling in different places, walls begin to crack, doors grow tighter. Then, the real damage begins. The concrete basement walls start cracking, letting in moisture and mold. Within a short period of time, a brand-new home can be unlivable.

What kind of foundation are you building in your family? You need rock-solid virtues, like love, faith, holiness, charity, faithfulness, generosity, and meekness. You need consistent habits like prayer, tithing, Bible-reading, church attendance, and hospitality. Build these early on in your life even before the life-altering decisions of marriage and children. By then, you will be better equipped and the structure of your family will be anchored to Christ.

Too often, families ignore the foundations and continue building their lives and then when it all comes crumbling down, they frantically search for the answers. God's grace covers our inadequacies, but it would be a whole lot easier if we tended to the basics early on in life.

Take a moment and examine your life. What kind of foundations are you building? Are they patterned after Scripture? Will they stand the test of time?
